“Practicing at Litchford & Christopher gives me an opportunity
granted to few of my peers – experiencing a range of areas of
civil law with varying degrees of intensity. For a breach of
contract dispute, I spent weeks engaged in document analysis,
intensive legal research, preparation of memoranda, and drafting
motions. Another matter required me to handle communications
between a large corporate client, individual employees,
witnesses, several accountants, and a government agency, and to
engage in detailed legal research and prepare advisory memoranda
and persuasive letters. I have also been given a variety of
smaller matters that have involved negotiating with opposing
counsel, filing brief motions, preparing affidavits, drafting
settlement agreements, tracking down documents, and performing
discrete legal research tasks.
Though I have been entrusted with a great deal of responsibility
and authority, it comes with an appropriate level of
professional supervision. While I am given the independence to
work through assignments on my own, the shareholders and senior
associates are consistently available to provide guidance. Our
attorneys frequently collaborate on projects; I have worked
directly with each of the firm’s attorneys, including the
shareholders, on a regular basis.
When I joined Litchford & Christopher, I was immediately
welcomed as part of the team. Members of the firm have diverse
interests, but share a collegial attitude. The firm also
encourages new associates to become involved in the local legal
community and in social and civic organizations in the Greater
Orlando area. The involvement of my fellow attorneys in
leadership groups, schools, churches, and charities in this
community, in addition to their dedication to the practice of
law, makes them first-rate role models as I begin my legal
career.” |
