| Pending Cases and Trials |

Alan Taylor recently negotiated a successful settlement in
favor of beneficiaries to a multi-million dollar estate. In this
case, the opposing party sought to deprive the
beneficiaries represented by Mr. Taylor of their share in the
estate. But the firm successfully negotiated a settlement where all
beneficiaries will inherit equal shares.
Hal Litchford, David Lerner, and Paul DeHart represent a
motor vehicle manufacturer in a suit we brought in U.S.
district court involving telematics technology. After extensive
discovery proceedings, the U.S. Magistrate Judge recommended the District Court grant our
client's motion for summary judgment on all issues in the case.
Overruling objections by the defendants, the District Judge has
now accepted the magistrate’s recommendation, granted summary judgment in our
client’s favor, and confirmed our client’s
unfettered right to own and use the technology in question.
Proceedings are underway to recover attorney's fees for our
client.
Steve Fender and Hal Litchford prosecuted a significant
non-compete action on behalf of a national publishing company.
The suit followed a mass defection of employees from the
client's Orlando office. As a result of our efforts, the
Business Law Division of the Orange County Circuit Court
entered a preliminary injunction in the matter after close to
five days of evidentiary hearings. Read the Court's ruling
here.
Don Christopher and Christine Ho are representing a
substantial shareholder of a construction products company. The
lawsuit alleges an attempted forced redemption of his stock.
The matter culminated in a week-long bench trial, which resulted
in a ruling restoring him as a shareholder.
