David G. Lerner is a shareholder who represents
both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of business
litigation cases in both state and federal trial and appellate
courts. He has substantial experience handling both
single-issue, single-party cases as well as cases involving
many parties and complex issues. David has represented local
businesses and national companies in many areas of the law, but
has particular experience in matters related to employment law
- particularly representation of management in discrimination
cases - breach of contract, fraud, public accommodations and
business torts.
He holds the highest rating assigned by
Martindale-Hubbell.
Prior to joining Litchford & Christopher in 1993, David
practiced with the Dallas, Texas office of Jones, Day, Reavis
& Pogue, and with the Washington, D.C. law firm of Swidler
Berlin (now Bingham McCutchen).
David is a long-standing member of the Central Florida
Chapter of the Florida Restaurant Association. He has served
and continues to serve in various leadership capacities, most
recently as the assistant chapter vice-president of education
and as a member of the board of directors.
David is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and
is an accomplished author on articles related to his
practice.
David graduated, cum laude, from Tulane University, and
earned his law degree from the Wake Forest University School of
Law, where he served as a notes and comments editor for the
Wake Forest Law Review.
He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida,
Texas (inactive member) and the District of Columbia (inactive
member). He is also admitted to practice before the United
States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of
Florida, the United States District Court for the Northern
District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for
the Eleventh Circuit.
