G. Steven Fender focuses his practice on
commercial litigation matters, in both state and federal
courts. He has represented clients across the United States in
a variety of employment disputes, shareholder negotiations,
contract claims, unfair competition litigation, intellectual
property, business tort and contract matters. He has also
handled numerous appeals in both state and federal court
systems.
He holds the highest rating assigned by
Martindale-Hubbell.
Steve is active in The Florida Bar, and has served in a
variety of leadership capacities. Most recently, his peers
appointed him as vice-chair of the Judicial Liaison Committee
for the State Court/Federal Court of the Business Law Section.
He previously completed a one-year term of service as chair of
the Business Litigation Committee. He is also a member of the
Orange County Bar Association.
Steve grew up in Central Florida, graduating from Trinity
Preparatory High School in Winter Park. He then graduated,
magna cum laude and with distinction, from Duke University,
completing an honors thesis and independent research project
that won him special accolades from the school’s
psychology department. He earned his law degree, with high
honors, from the University of Florida College of Law, and is a
member of the Order of the Coif.
Steve is admitted to practice before all state and federal
courts in Florida, as well as the United States Court of
Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and Federal Circuit.
